Our next highlight is on the Laurelhurst neighborhood which is in both Northeast & Southeast Portland. This is a registered historic district, rich in architecture and landscape design. From the association website, “Established in 1909, Laurelhurst is a neighborhood of vintage homes and undulating streets surrounding beautiful Laurelhurst Park, straddling the NE and SE sections of Portland.“. This mainly residential part of Eastside Portland does have a mix of restaurants, boutiques and markets available on E. Burnside St. The Laurelhurst Park is a favorite of mine, with a pond, dog park and paths to take in the scenery.
Laurelhurst boundaries are NE/SE 32th Ave. to the West and NE/SE 44th Ave. to the East. The Banfield/I-84 is the Northern boundary and SE Stark St. to the South. Learn more from the Neighborhood Association website HERE.
