Our next highlight will cover the Parkrose neighborhood in Northeast. Long ago a street car serviced Sandy Blvd. and it ran through the historic commercial district of Parkrose roughly between NE 102nd-112th Avenue. Here you will find the long established, Parkrose Hardware, that carries a huge inventory of nuts, bolts and screws for any DIY project. Across the street on NE 106th Ave. is Aprilia Moto Guzzi Portland, seller of fine Italian Motorcycles and Scooters. I’m a little partial to this shop as my grandfather had a Moto Guzzi growing up. Back to the neighborhood, Parkrose High School covers a large area between NE 115th – 122nd Ave., NE Prescott and NE Shaver where you’ll also run into Rossi Farms. This is a family owned farm that operates adjacent to busy streets and I love seeing all the pumpkins set out each October for Halloween.
The Parkrose neighborhood is in Northeast Portland, OR between 102nd Ave. on the West and 122nd to the East. The Northern boundary is I-205 and along the Columbia River. To the South, Parkrose is bordered by I-84 and similarly named Parkrose Heights. You can learn more about historic Parkrose HERE.
